Iconic IT Rochester New York: The Giving Side of Our MSP

Marketing Manager Community Outreach
You would think Iconic IT Rochester New York only gives IT advice and free consultations, but we have been actively giving back to our town, being involved throughout the Rochester and surrounding communities since 2003. We are committed to giving back to the communities we serve.
Co-Founder and CEO, Mike Fowler, sits on the board of the East House and leads our company-wide toy and clothing drive for the children of their clients each holiday season. Sitima Fowler, co-founder and VP of marketing, sits on the boards of Bivona Child Advocacy Center, DIAL (Development of Indo-Asian Leaders), and the Fairport Booster Club. Many other Iconic team members maintain active volunteering and planning committee roles that include the Boys and Girls Club of Rochester, Visit Rochester, the Rochester Rotary, and more.
Together, Rochester Iconic IT consistently gives time, services, needed items and financial donations to nearly 2 dozen local non-profits. Examples include heading a “People and Pets Food Drive” for Community Action of Wyoming County, raffling computers to raise money for the Champion Academy and Golisano Hope Lodge, sponsoring golf tournaments for Happiness House, and executing a “Hoodies and Hair” drive that gathered thousands of clothing items and personal hygiene goods for The Center for Youth.
In 2014 we proudly adopted a 2nd grade class at School #3 in the Rochester City School District. This started with a staff-lead coin drive that raised enough money to buy books, school supplies, playground equipment and drawstring bags for their Adopt-A-Classroom wish list. Then, these students visited our Rochester office to learn about technology in today’s business. We’ve repeated this campaign to make it an annual community contribution and giving back activity for Iconic IT Rochester New York.
We haven’t forgotten our technical side, either. That’s why Rochester Iconic IT team established a “Green IT” program across Monroe County, Wyoming County, and Ontario County in 2012. In 2016, we partnered with the Victor NY High School Robotics team and EWASTE+ , giving back to the community by providing free recycling of electronic devices to all local businesses and residents, while at the same time collecting needed items and driving fundraisers for non-profits including the Veterans Outreach Center, Lollipop Farm, and The Victor Food Cupboard.
